An interview with Kai Jensen, wife of much loved designer Chad...
An interview with Kai Jensen, wife of much loved designer Chad Jensen, and new full-time GMT employee. We talk about what she's doing with the design's that remain after Chad's death.
A recap of all the wargames I played and people I met at GMT's fall Weekend at the Warehouse.

Great podcast!
In my 50 years of wargaming I can count on one hand the number of female wargames I have either met or heard about. Its nice to see/know that over the last 20 years (?) a few more females have enjoyed our hobby. Just by my experience not too many females I have run into are interested in history let alone military and combat history. So it was refreshing to hear Kai speak to this aspect in your podcast.
Sadly I don't own any of the Chad Jensen designs (at least I don't think so, assuming his games were produced by GMT, I only had a few of their games over the years), so I can't speak on his designs like I can of JFD, Simonsen, Greenwood, Hill, Robers, Berg, Balkoski, Chadwick, Banner, and Astel. But anyone that is a graphic designer, map maker or counter layout person or expert has my vote!
Many thanks for being on the front lines for those that can't travel to conventions and being our "eyes and ears" on the ground Grant!

Jensen's Combat Commander is a great game. Some players don't like it due to the cards ("I can see the enemy, they are right there, but I can't shoot because I don't have a fire card. WTF?"). I like that aspect. Reminds me of Up Front, one of my favourite games.

Interesting concept.
I only got to try UF solo a few times in my early year and I liked a lot of the concepts but I struggled with no map for some reason, IIRC there is no map and you use cards as the terrain or some such.

That's exactly it. A complete innovation that was years ahead of its time.
