Add more site security

This seems to be a nice and modern site but no security certificate. While I don't have any issues for myself, some people use the same password on every site so I would like to better protect them. Plus Google dings sites on its search which don't have security certificates and Google is constantly searching for ways to punish sites without certificates via Google Chrome.

Are you referring to an SSL certificate? I’ll look into that. I haven’t needed one in years as my previous web host provided it for free. But I recently changed hosting and perhaps don’t have the same coverage. Thanks for the heads up.

I suggest Let's Encrypt which is free. It has to be renewed every 90 days but there is lots of code out there for automating renewal. I wonder if you current provider even has something you can plug in to take care of the renewal for you.

Turns out my webhost does offer automatic SSL. I had it on for www,pushingcardboard.com but not for pushingcardboard.com. I found a switch to force any http calls to https instead. That should make things more secure.
